Sales Manager
The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for the profitable sale of new and used cars in keeping with the dealership sales
strategy and the Car Nation Canada standards.

This involves planning and implementing strategies for success, which are compatible with the existing business sales policies,
procedures and objectives. Self-improvement and co-ordination of activities with those of other dealership personnel and
departments are important aspects of the job.
Requirements of a Sales Manager
- A valid Ontario Automobile Sales Licence issued by the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council
- A valid Ontario Provincial Driving Licence and certified abstract (for corporate insurance coverage)
- Must be able to read, write, speak and effectively communicate in English
- Must follow established dealership sales policies and procedures and adhere to Provincial Statutes contained within the
Motor Vehicle Dealers Act and Bill 55 - commonly known as The Business Practices Act
- A proven and demonstrated track record in the sale of vehicles a definite asset
- Demonstrated recognition that customer satisfaction is the prime concern of the dealership
- Demonstrated excellent selling skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to train sales staff in keeping with dealership sales strategy
- Proven ability to plan and arrange own time and activities effectively, and assist others in doing the same
- Excellent grooming and business-like appearance
- Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate activities with others in the dealership
- Demonstrated superb verbal and written interpersonal skills with other staff and customers
- Direct the sales staff while they are with customers so as to maximize the opportunity of a sale
- Assist sales closing through professionalism and proper customer turnovers to management as circumstance and managers

- Supervise and maintain accurate sales records, and submit same to Dealer Principal monthly, and maintain accurate traffic
management records
